Prior to 9/11, Azos realized the need for intelligent communication with distinct alerting capabilities for emergency communication. As a result, we developed our patented Communications Control Method and Apparatus Technology. On June 26, 2006, President Bush signed an Executive Order to establish a comprehensive Public Alert and Warning System to reach as many Americans as possible in the event of an emergency incident. In response, comments were solicited in the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Notice for Public Rule Making (NPRM) regarding an Emergency Alert System.
Azos responded by meeting with FCC officials, as well as submitting our NPRM comments addressing the requirements of an emergency communication system that would meet the need to alert citizens via their mobile devices. Subsequent to industry’s NPRM comments and responses, the FCC issued the Commercial Mobile Alert System (CMAS) NPRM. In April 2008, the FCC ruled on CMAS requirements that were developed by the communication industry. The CMAS requirements support “a common audio attention signal and a common vibrating cadence to be used solely for CMAS alerts”. OASIS, a standards organization, produced the Common Alerting Protocol (CAP) standard which the FCC adopted for CMAS. CMAS deployment is anticipated in November 2012.
Azos believes research and development efforts creating cognitive data, our proprietary CogDat™ technology, is another forefront opportunity that tackles serious challenges in cyber security. This capability pioneers significant advancements in the art of data security for the cloud and enterprise networks.
